Now, many will be better at it than me, as I taught myself and it started with designing the logo for the company I worked for. I draw a couple designs and they have picked one of them, and it became their logo. It was the logo for Pretklerk Plastics cc. The company was like a baby to me, as I was there when it started up and I had to implement the whole office setup and as the only office personnel there, I had to do my work as well as designing the stationary logo and that became the company's logo.
From there I started to play with logo design ideas and played while I was learning. The old Print Partner program on a 386 Computer was my first humble start. Today I love to work with my digital camera and do layered designs, like the ones in this website.
Later I worked for Diamant's Quality Products cc and also while doing my regular office work, I did the designing for some of their packaging for their products and designed also their promotion T-shirts prints. It was then knocked up by the Graphic Printing Company, KB Labels, and then it was proofed by me and the MD. It was fun trying my hand on that and made my daily work less boring. I also did the designing and silkscreen printing of their Year End Gifts for the clients.
I designed also the T-shirts for my child's school and silkscreen printed 30 small T-shirts with " Oosies 2002" on it. It was fun doing silkscreen printing and the technique was applied for various projects, from textile printing to advertising boards printing. Pity I could not get my foot in by printing the 2010 World Cup T-shirts!
